The Pure Coffee Table is built from railway wood: thick reclaimed planks assembled into a square top that shows the varied grain, knots, and patina of wood drawn from a previous life. The base is two interlocked solid beams in a cross formation, a structural solution that is as honest as the material it uses. At 26 centimetres tall, the table sits very close to the floor, reinforcing the weight and groundedness of the piece.
At Bambuá, we selected the Pure Coffee Table for the authentic character of its railway wood and the simplicity of its construction. This reclaimed railway wood coffee table suits brutalist, wabi-sabi, and deeply natural interiors where the history of the material is as much a part of the design as its form.
